The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned it when he said, "Use this Indian wood, for it contains seven cures: it is used as a nasal inhalant for tonsillitis and as a treatment for pleurisy." It is a powerful anti-inflammatory, boosts immunity, and treats semen viscosity and polycystic ovary syndrome in women. Benefits and uses of Indian costus: Indian costus is a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune system booster. It helps reduce semen viscosity, which is a cause of some male infertility. It treats polycystic ovary syndrome and hormonal imbalances in women. It is used to treat worms (such as threadworms or nematodes) in children. It stimulates muscle and tissue function, acts as a diuretic, and stops bleeding. It is beneficial in clearing colds and phlegm from the airways and respiratory disorders, and treats asthma and coughs. It is also used as a tonic and stimulant for digestion and enhances stomach function. Costus is used to dissolve blood clots, such as those in the brain and heart. How to use it: Internal use: Add the contents of the package to one kilogram of honey and stir well each time. Take one teaspoon of the mixture at a time, stir it into half a cup of water, and drink it on an empty stomach, either before a meal or two hours after a meal. Take the mixture 2-3 times daily, according to your preference. Drinking: The method of drinking involves grinding the costus root and mixing it with water. This drink is used as a beverage and offers many benefits to the human body, including aiding fertility, dissolving blood clots, promoting urination, and treating liver and kidney ailments. It is also used to treat all digestive system disorders. Inhalation: It is used as an inhalation method for asthma and throat infections. Place a small amount of finely ground costus root with a small cup of water and inhale it into the nose. External use: - Poultice: This method involves placing ground costus root with a little water or honey and applying it to wounds or burns. It can also be used to remove pimples and freckles. - Bathing: This refers to bathing in water with costus root, as it kills bacteria and germs on the body, especially in sensitive areas, which are more prone to germs. - Applying it with olive oil: Costus root can be used as an ointment with olive oil. Boil a quantity of costus root in water with olive oil, and after it cools, place it in a glass jar and apply it to the body. For the skin as a mask: Mix a paste of costus root with yogurt and apply it topically to the skin. Rinse it off after ten minutes.
